Our First Pilot

We have officially launched our first pilot, with 77 properties now using Letted.

This post covers what we set out to test, what we are seeing so far, and where the platform goes next.

77 Properties. One Goal. Live Usage.

This week marks an important milestone for Letted. Our platform is now live with 77 rental properties across the UK, used day-to-day by real landlords as part of an early pilot.

These landlords are using Letted to organise communication, track issues, and run the operational side of their lettings more efficiently. The goal of the pilot is simple: validate that software-led workflows can materially reduce admin overhead while improving visibility and responsiveness.

From Concept to Live Platform

When we first introduced Letted, we set out a clear idea.

That landlords already do a significant amount of work themselves, and that much of it is repetitive, fragmented, and poorly supported by modern software.

The pilot exists to test that thesis in real conditions. Rather than scaling prematurely, we started with a focused group of landlords who were willing to use Letted as their primary operational tool and give us direct feedback as we built.

The platform is live. Usage is real. The data is coming from production, not demos.

What the Pilot Covers

The 77 properties in the pilot span a broad range of real-world scenarios:

  • First-time landlords managing a single rental
  • Portfolio landlords with 10 to 20 properties
  • Houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) and multi-let setups
  • Properties across cities, towns, and suburban areas

This range is intentional. Letted is designed as a general-purpose platform for landlords, not a narrow tool for a single property type.

Early Signals

It is still early, but early usage is encouraging.

Across the pilot so far, landlords using Letted are seeing:

  • Faster acknowledgement of tenant messages through automated drafting and notifications
  • Clearer tracking of maintenance issues and follow-ups
  • Improved visibility into what is happening across their properties at any given time
  • Less time spent switching between inboxes, spreadsheets, and third-party tools

We are not claiming the platform is finished. We are seeing edge cases, learning where automation helps most, and identifying where landlords want tighter control.

That is exactly what the pilot is for.

What We Are Learning

Running the platform live is already shaping product decisions.

Speed matters

Tenants value fast acknowledgement and clarity. Even when an issue cannot be resolved immediately, knowing it has been logged and is visible makes a difference.

Visibility beats delegation

Landlords consistently tell us that having a clear, real-time view of messages, issues, and tasks is more valuable than outsourcing blindly.

Small efficiencies add up

Logging issues properly, tracking outcomes, and closing loops reduces repeat messages and prevents problems from drifting.

Data changes behaviour

When landlords can see trends across their properties, they make more informed decisions about pricing, maintenance, and priorities.

What Comes Next

The pilot is the first phase.

Over the coming months we are focused on:

  • Expanding the pilot cohort
  • Improving analytics and reporting for landlords
  • Adding optional integrations with third-party services
  • Continuing to refine automation tools while keeping landlords in control

We are building carefully, validating assumptions before scaling.

Thank You to Our Pilot Landlords

To the landlords who agreed to use Letted early and give us candid feedback: thank you.

Your input is shaping the platform directly. Every message logged, task tracked, and workflow tested is helping us build something more useful and more robust.

We set out to build better software for landlords.

With 77 properties actively using Letted, that work is now happening in the real world.

If you are a landlord interested in joining the next phase, book a demo to see how the platform works.
